SICK AG, Erwin-Sick-Straße 1, 79183 Waldkirch (hereinafter referred to as “SICK”) is pleased about your interest in our app SICK Installed Base Manager. Protecting your privacy is important to us and we want you to feel secure while using our App Installed Base Manager. To this end, we would like to explain below what information we process while using the app.

Access via SICK-ID

SICK requires that the users of the Installed Base Manager use their personal SICK-ID account to log in. In addition, it is assumed that every logged-in user of the Installed Base Manager has thus accepted the SICK-ID Terms of Use.

Creating Assets

Purpose of processing Created assets (such as sensor, machine, etc.) of the installed base are marked with the identifier of the creating user as a property. This makes it technically possible to assign devices to customer accounts.

Saving photos

Consequences of non-provision If you do not give consent, you will not be able to add photos to the devices in your installed base.

Data source We only process data that you provide directly to us if you give us access to the camera and/or file directory of your smartphone.

Transfers to third countries We do not transfer personal data to third countries.

Recording of location data

Consequences of non-provision In this case, no GPS positions of your assets will be available to you.
Storage time Data is deleted when the user deletes the corresponding devices.
Data source Collected from the user smartphone if access to the GPS position has been actively enabled (opt-in procedure). The user can adjust the location data of a device after saving if the GPS position does not match the position of the device.
